WELCOME TO MY COUNTRY!

I recently received this viral email and I think it well worth posting here for you to enjoy. (It has been edited to reflect a web presence rather than email).

Let me make this perfectly clear!

THIS IS MY COUNTRY!
And because I make this statement DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration!!!

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY!
Welcome! To come in legally:

1. Get a sponsor!
2. Get a place to lay your head!
3. Get a job!
4. Live By OUR Rules!
5. Pay YOUR Taxes!
6. Learn the LANGUAGE (English) as all immigrants have in the past!!!

AND

7. Please don't demand that we hand over our lifetime savings of Social Security Funds to you.

If you don't agree for fear of offending someone, then YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

When will AMERICANS STOP giving away THEIR RIGHTS???

We've gone so far the other way... bent over backwards not to offend anyone, but it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN CITIZEN that's being offended!

WAKE UP America !!!

Don't let these socialist lefties tell you that you are wacky because
you worship "the fairy god in the sky" or pick your offensive remark.

I have handled this by asking them why they feel the need to
disparage me when I see them equally of not more wacky for NOT
believing in God.

They are telling us that the United States is not a Christian nation, and some of you are starting to believe it. Well, don't. Those people are afterall, clueless.

Paul Johnson, British historian said it best...
"Both in Virginia and New England to the North, the Colonists were determined God-fearing men often in search of a religious toleration denied them at home. Who brought their families and were anxious to farm and establish permanent settlements.

They put political and religious freedom before riches, thus took shape the economic dynamo that eventually became the United States, an experiment designed to establish the rule of God on this Earth."

If that doesn't mean a "Christian nation," I don't know what would.

In 2011, as the United States of America celebrated its' 235th birthday, it was in economic decline, engaged in war and losing its' place of prominence and influence in the world. A nation which in 1776 decided that it could do better on its own, and went to war with the strongest military power in the world at the time to fight for the right to govern itself. It became a nation and in less than 200 years went from an agricultural nation to an industrial powerhouse and sent a man to the Moon.

From its' earliest settlers through its' founding as a nation in 1776, the government and people of the United States gave thanks to God and respected Him. They sought guidance, and prayed for peace and God was a given in American culture and society. Proof of this can be seen throughout its' history, and up until 1947 there were only two challenges to the influence of God on American government and society that reached the Supreme Court of the United States.

In 1947, one man on the Supreme Court in a misreading of a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a religious group decided that there was a wall of separation between the Church and the State. It is true that Congress cannot establish a national religion, such as the Church of England for example which received tax money to maintain itself, nor prevent the free exercise of any religion, but looking at that logically, it is a one way separation. No where is these any clause that prohibits religious influence over government. As a matter of fact, we are prohibited from using religious tests to select politicians. After this ruling, time and time again there have been efforts made to remove God from the public square in the United States all based upon this historical error.

The continued removal of God from every aspect of public American life is doing one thing to our nation and in a nutshell, it is removing Gods' blessings, provisions and protections as evidenced by our current situation. The United States has to wake up, and turn back to God if it plans to continue to be the greatest nation known to man. The Christian has been called to pray for our nation, and needs to get his life straight with God as well. God will not bless us if we are constantly giving him the boot. We cannot let a few loud mouths determine that the United States is better of a godless third world nation just because they refuse to believe in Him.

Please keep in mind that it is not that God is on our side in this matter. What is important is that we realize that we are on His side, and as long as we are here and seek His blessings, we make a difference. One cannot deny this nation was what it was because of Divine guidance. Remember that "In the United States of America, Christians are Not 'Second Class' Citizens" and if you think about our nation, the church, the cross and the Statue of Liberty, just think that the "Statue Liberates the Citizen, and the Cross Liberates the Soul."
